Our Mission

To expand services and opportunities for Bay Area youth in high risk communities so that they can in turn create productive, successful lives for themselves. PROGRAM GOALS

Goal 1: Getting Things Done

• To provide youth development services during the school day and in after-school programs in communities where students have limited opportunities for positive youth development.

Goal 2: AmeriCorps Member Development

• To ensure that members have the tools and support necessary to provide excellent services to youth in line with the mission, goals and objectives of BAYAC/OCASA and the partner agency where they are serving.
• To ensure that members have a positive AmeriCorps experience and are motivated and prepared to stay involved in public service.

Goal 3: Strengthening Communities

• To provide additional resources to community based youth serving agencies that may not have the capacity to independently operate an AmeriCorps program.
• To build the capacity of BAYAC/OCASA agencies by engaging volunteers in service.
