How to apply

Requirements

In order to participate in the program you must meet the following requirements-

  • U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
    • You must be able to provide the following documentation: valid passport, US birth certificate in conjunction with a photo ID, permanent resident card, or a US Certificate of Naturalization
  • Served less than four AmeriCorps terms in the past
    • If you have received two full time education awards through another AmeriCorps program, you can still participate in the program; however, you will not be able to receive the education award and can only receive the $1000 stipend
  • Able to complete 450 hours of service by June 15th, 2012
  • Willing to complete all additional AmeriCorps paperwork throughout the year
