MEMBER APPLICATION

If you're ready to apply to become a BAYAC/OCASA Americorps member, click here to apply!

Application Process

To become a member you must fill out and submit our online application, which includes personal information, a couple of short answer questions and a request for contact information for 2 references. At any time during the application you are able to save and return to it later. Just remember to save your password! If you have any questions or difficulties filling out our application please call us and we will assist you in the process.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all placements are filled, but applicants are encouraged to submit the application as soon as possible in order to ensure the best chance of being placed in an agency that fits your needs and goals. Once the application is complete and has been reviewed, applicants who qualify will be contacted for an interview. Interviews for the 2011-2012 term will begin in May 2011. All new members need to be available and eligible for the start date of the new term: Thursday, August 25th 2011.

Please submit only ONE application per program year.  If you would like to amend a previously submitted application, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

As a part of your application, you will be asked two personal statements. Your answers must be a minimum of 100 words for each question. Your application is not complete unless you have answered the following questions.

Please review these questions now to prepare your answers. (answers can be copied and pasted into the application)

1. BAYAC AmeriCorps members provide After School Programming, Tutoring, Coordinate Volunteers and organize Service Learning Projects:
How do you feel your experiences and/or training will help you provide quality services to children/youth in one or more of these areas?
