Be the Change! Make a difference in the lives of youth.

BAYAC AmeriCorps aims to develop emerging leaders and strengthen Bay Area communities. BAYAC Members commit to a year of service in full-time positions at local schools and non-profit community-based organizations, where they provide direct services in the areas of academic engagement, after school enrichment, youth development, and volunteer coordination.

Currently, we partner with over 30 community service organizations to serve youth and families in the Bay Area.  Members are an essential component in expanding our partners’ capacity to meet the critical needs of these youth and communities, as strong connections between adults and youth in youth development programs have a proven long-term impact in helping young people avoid risky behaviors, graduate from high school, and stay out of contact with the justice system.
